The People’s TVA Hearing!

It was an educational and truly moving evening, with local citizens and advocates laying out their own visions for what a just and sustainable energy future could look like and what TVA must do to get us there and to truly live up to the responsibilities of being a public utility.

Hearing attendees called on TVA to immediately reinstate public listening sessions by holding them virtually (if we can do it, TVA sure as heck can!) and also discussed a number of urgent issues facing TVA during their public comments and the breakout discussions, including coal ash pollution, moving to clean energy, issues facing TVA’s workers, and high energy burdens.
